The 2026 Fall/Winter edition of Teach. Write. is slated to be published October 1. I am looking forward to producing this edition with its photo theme of space exploration, looking beyond this world and towards a brighter future. It has been a rough year for me and my family and for me as a writer, but it has also been a wondrous year for the same. I want to embrace the lessons learned as well as the joys experienced. Isn’t this life?
The next edition will include poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction that will be about these dichotomous lives we live. I hope you will come back on October 1 to discover the thoughts and words of teachers and students, as well as those whose lives have been touched by them.
Why Teach. Write.?
Writing for publication can lead to the best professional development a writing teacher can experience because it gives teachers a chance to remember the struggles and successes of the writing process. Since 2017, Teach. Write. has sought to showcase the creative writing of teachers to bring them back to the fundamentals of the writing process and closer to their students. Although writing by teachers and students or about teaching and learning is preferred, the editor of Teach. Write. is open to all submissions that follow the submission guidelines. In 2023, Teach. Write. became a member of the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses.
