Teach. Write. has been a part of the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses since 2023. CLMP is a true community of publishers and editors that provides fantastic resources for us, the little guys of the literary world. In each newsletter, CLMP offers a list of the member literary journals and magazines that have published that month. Teach. Write. was included in the April newsletter and shows that this little journal is in good company. Take a look: April 2026 Roundup of Member Magazines – Community of Literary Magazines and Presses.

The fall/winter 2026 edition of Teach. Write. is now open for submissions until September 1 with a publication date of October 1. I would love to receive submissions from any writer but, of course, I prefer those who have a background in teaching or who write about teaching and learning. Submitters increase their chances of being accepted if they read and carefully follow the submission guidelines as well as read the current and past issues. I do not have literary themes for each edition, but I do have photo themes. The theme for the next edition will be space exploration because I have been so inspired by Artemis II as well as the main character, a teacher, of Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Something to keep in mind, writers!

I would like to see more submissions for Writing Your Own, a regular feature where teachers write to prompts that they have developed for their students. I ask for the writer to supply the actual prompt with an explanation of how it is used in class along with the work itself. I love this feature but do not get many submissions. To sweeten the pot, I have increased the honorarium for this feature to $25. I hope some of you will pull out your favorite writing prompts and give it a go!
