Since my first issue of Teach. Write. in 2017, I have enjoyed choosing a photo theme to unite each edition. That first time, I used desks of all kinds. I loved the cover photo especially.

I continued using school- and writing-themed photos for a while, including empty classrooms, writing utensils, books, letters, libraries and one-room schoolhouses. One of my favorite themes was the iconic apple.
I had to stray a bit from the teaching/writing theme from time to time, using autumn leaves, single trees, cups of tea and coffee, and this last time paths winding through forests.

I keep thinking that I’ve run out of ideas and then something else comes to me. This time I’m thinking about using photos of college and university campuses. Choosing a theme is kind of fun. I truly love putting together Teach. Write., and it’s even more enjoyable now that I’ve retired from teaching and have more time.
Why not take a look at some past editions here and at my blog heymrswinkler.com.? I would love it if you would consider submitting something to the journal, so while you’re looking around, check out the submission guidelines!
