As always, editing this journal is one of the joys of my life. I began it in the fall of 2017 as an addition to my blog Hey, Mrs. Winkler: Musings and Mutterings About Higher Education in the South. For years I found that seeking publication for my writing enhanced my work as a composition teacher, and I wanted to give other teachers a chance to experience what I had.
I am constantly amazed at how each issue seems to come together, and now that I’m retired, I have had time to spend more time with reviewing and editing. I’m still learning all the ins and outs, but continually learning is one of the reasons I became a teacher, and I don’t intend to retire from that.
Submissions are now open for the fall/winter 2024 edition of Teach. Write. and will close on September 1. with publication planned for October 1. Please see submission guidelines for complete information.
